Vol. 215 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clifden Fish Pass.

58.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if there are any plans before his Department for the erection of a fish pass at The Falls, Clifden, County Galway; and, if so, when this work will commence.

Plans for a fish pass at the Clifden Falls have been ready for some time but it was only recently that the riparian owner concerned gave his consent to the work being carried out. The financial arrangements, which must include an adequate local contribution, now remain to be finalised and the conservators should be in a position to have work commenced immediately after the financing of the project has been settled.
