asked the Minister for Finance what permanent extensions to existing Dublin city and county national schools will be made within the next year.

In view of the detailed nature of the reply, I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate the information in the Official Report.

Following is the information:

Permanent additional classroom accommodation is expected to be completed within the next 12 months at the following existing national schools:—

St. Vincent's Convent, North William Street, Dublin.

Twenty-one classrooms for 984 pupils.

St. Augustine's Special School, Obelisk Park, Blackrock, County Dublin.

Three classrooms for 45 pupils and a Cookery Room.

Harold Boys', Dalkey, County Dublin

Two classrooms for 80 pupils.

Palmerstown Boys', County Dublin

Ten classrooms for 450 pupils.

North Brunswick Street C.B.S., Dublin

Eight classrooms for 320 pupils.

Rathmichael, Shankill, County Dublin

One classroom for 40 pupils.

Hedgestown, County Dublin

One classroom for 40 pupils.

Grants have been sanctioned towards the cost of permanent additional classrooms at the following schools, but the works are not likely to be completed in the next 12 months:—

St. Columba's, Iona Road, Dublin

A Cookery Room.

Blackrock Convent, Carysfort, County Dublin

One classroom for 40 pupils.

St. Teresa's Special School, Blackrock, County Dublin.

Four classrooms for 80 pupils.

Balrothery, County Dublin

Two classrooms for 96 pupils.
