Vol. 215 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Old Age Pension Means Calculation.

33.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare whether a right of residence, maintenance and support enjoyed by an old age pensioner under deed is taken into account in calculating the means of an applicant for a pension.

If a claimant to old age pension has, under deed or otherwise, a right of residence, maintenance and support, no means are assessable in respect of maintenance and support and only a nominal figure, generally 1/- or 2/- per week, is assessed in respect of residence.
