Vol. 215 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Bus Service.

67.

Mr. P. Hogan

(South Tipperary) and Mr. T. Dunne asked the Minister for Education if he can help by subsidy, voucher or otherwise to provide for the continued operation of a bus service travelling via Thurles, Ballycahill, Drumbane, Coolanga, Cross of Clune, Laceys Cross, Stuke, Tureen, Drumbane, Ballycahill and Thurles, which has been in operation for years providing inter alia school transport for pupils in this remote area to the secondary and vocational schools at Thurles, as the existing private service is being terminated as a result of rising petrol and other costs.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 73 on Wednesday, 19th May, 1965. I have nothing further to add to that reply.
