asked the Minister for Health what steps have been taken to enable patients qualifying for free medical prescriptions or drugs under the Health Acts to have them supplied by a pharmacist of the patient's own choice.

In reply to recent Dáil questions, I indicated that my Department is at present engaged in a comprehensive review of the entire health services. The arrangements for the supply of medicines and drugs to eligible persons under the general medical service will be covered in this review.
