Vol. 216 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - US Cattle Exports to Europe.

50.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that live cattle exports from the USA to Western Europe are increasing to such an extent that they constitute a threat to this country's cattle trade with the Continent; and, if so, whether any special steps are contemplated in order to maintain and expand Irish cattle exports to the Continent.

The answer to the first part of the question is "No" and the second part does not, therefore, arise.
