Vol. 216 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Registered Unemployed.

1.

asked the Taoiseach the number of persons at present registered as unemployed at Castlecomer, Athy and Carlow.

The number of persons on the live register at the Castlecomer, Athy and Carlow local offices on 4th June, 1965, the latest available date, were 106, 74 and 255 respectively.

The Parliamentary Secretary will agree that there has been a very substantial increase in the number registered as unemployed——

That does not arise on the question.

——compared with this time 12 months ago?

The Deputy merely asked the number.
