asked the Minister for Lands what land for forestry purposes has been acquired in South Tipperary and West Waterford; when it is expected that planting will begin on such land; and what additional land, if any, in the same area his Department have under consideration for acquisition for forestry purposes.

The information is not conveniently available in this form. The total area on hands in County Tipperary and Waterford at the present date is 78,820 acres, comprising 73,732 acres of productive land of which 65,913 acres are under woods and plantations. There are 396 cases on offer to the Division in these counties comprising an area of 24,488 acres.
