Seven hotels are owned by Óstlanna Iompair Éireann Teoranta, a subsidiary of Córas Iompair Éireann. In addition Aer Rianta Teoranta have invested in three hotels.
In addition, the Minister is guarantor under section 24 of the Tourist Traffic Act, 1952, in respect of loans to 33 hotels. Particulars of such guarantees given by the Minister each year are included in the statement laid annually before the Oireachtas.
