asked the Taoiseach if he will state in respect of each of the employment exchanges in County Westmeath for the most recent date for which figures are available the number of (a) male persons, (b) female persons and (c) youths, both male and female, signing on for (i) unemployment insurance and (ii) unemployment benefit.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state in respect of each of the employment exchanges in County Longford in respect of the most recent date for which the figures are available the number of (a) male persons, (b) female persons and (c) youths, both male and female, signing on for (i) unemployment insurance and (ii) unemployment benefit.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 3 and 4 together and to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the required information.

Following is the statement:—

NUMBER of men, women, boys and girls claiming Unemployment Benefit or applying for Unemployment Assistance at the Local Offices of the Department of Social Welfare situated in Counties Longford and Westmeath on 18 June, 1965.
