The whole organisation of services for the mentally handicapped is being examined in my Department at present, in the light of the recommendations made by the Commission of Inquiry on Mental Handicap. The location of pre-school nursing units, or crèches, will be considered in the course of that examination.
I am not in a position to make any statement at this stage as to the location of such units.
