Vol. 217 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Stamp Duty on House Purchases.

4.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Finance the amount of revenue collected during the last financial year on house purchased by prospective owner-occupiers.

5.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Finance the amount collected by the Revenue Commissioners over the last financial year in stamp duty on transfer or purchase by prospective owner-occupiers of houses up to the level of £5,000.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 4 and 5 together.

Question 4 does not specify stamp duties but, presumably, those are the duties the Deputy has in mind. I regret that the available statistics do not enable me to supply the information desired.
