Vol. 217 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Brucellosis Vaccination.

47.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he will consider extending the calfhood vaccination scheme against brucellosis to the counties of Roscommon and Leitrim; and, if not, why.

Because of the relatively low incidence of brucellosis in Roscommon and Leitrim, calfhood vaccination will not be required there as a preliminary to area eradication measures. Eradication will be introduced in these counties as soon as possible.
