asked the Minister for External Affairs what is the attitude of the Government with regard to Recommendation No. 424 on European and Atlantic economic problems which was adopted by the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe on 6th May, 1965; and what action the Government have taken, or contemplate taking, on it.

Recommendation 424 adopted by the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe on the 6th May, 1965, has now been considered and noted with interest by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe at Deputy level. The Government attach considerable importance to a successful outcome of the Kennedy Round in GATT.
