asked the Minister for External Affairs what is the attitude of the Government with regard to Recommendation No. 412 on the present situation in Rumania which was adopted by the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe on 28th January, 1965; and what action the Government have taken, or contemplates taking, on it.

Recommendation No. 412 was opposed by a number of members of the Committee of Ministers and considered inexpedient by others. The Committee decided to inform the next Meeting of the Joint Committee of the attitude of the Committee of Ministers.
