I am informed by Bord na Móna that in recent years the supply of turf briquettes has not met the demand even though there has been some increase in supply to the home market.
Any further increase in supplies would require more manufacturing capacity and a further briquette factory is included in the Board's expansion plans. It will, however, be at least 1968 before this factory could be brought into production.
