Ceisteanna-Questions. Oral Answers. - Control of Prices.

39.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the commodities and services the prices of which are controlled or regulated by him under any enactment, any instrument made thereunder or in discharge of any statutory duty.

On the assumption that the Deputy has not in mind commodities and services provided directly by my Department, the answer is none.

40.

asked the Minister for Health the commodities and services the prices of which are controlled or regulated by him under any enactment, any instrument made thereunder or in discharge of any statutory duty.

Charges for certain services for the public are controlled by me under a number of enactments and statutory instruments. With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I will circulate with the Official Report a table showing these services. I assume the question relates only to prices or charges to the public and not to rates of payments for services as between, say, a health authority and a voluntary hospital.
