Vol. 217 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Operation of Land Act.

41.

asked the Minister for Lands when he expects to implement section 5 of the Land Act, 1965; what other sections are not yet in operation; and when it is proposed to bring such sections into operation.

Substantial progress has been made on framing the relevant regulations to enable sections 5 and 6 of the Land Act, 1965, to be brought into operation. Funds for the purpose have been voted in subhead G. of the Vote for Lands for the current year.

For implementation of other sections of the Act, the Land Purchase Acts Rules, 1965 (S.I. No. 147 of 1965) were made on 7th July, 1965. A copy of these rules is available in the Library.

Would the Minister say if copies of the rules and regulations have been forwarded to the local offices throughout the country?

They were forwarded last week.
