Mr. Barrett

asked the Minister for External Affairs if he will give details of the number of civil servants in his Department who hold posts in State or semi-State bodies, companies or corporations which have been assisted by the State, details of the remuneration of each such person by virtue of his Civil Service post and details of the remuneration or allowances accruing to such officials by virtue of other positions with the bodies in question.

One officer of my Department is seconded on a whole time basis to Córas Tráchtála which refunds the amount of his salary and pension contribution.

His present Civil Service remuneration is £2,061 per annum.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will give details of the number of civil servants in his Department who hold posts in State or semi-State bodies, companies or corporations which have been assisted by the State, details of the remuneration of each such person by virtue of his Civil Service post and details of the remuneration or allowances accruing to such officials by virtue of other positions with the bodies in question.

As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to have it circulated with the Official Report.
