Vol. 218 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Navigation Marks on Shannon Lakes.

57.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will make arrangements to increase the number of buoys and markers on the big lakes of the Shannon, and also establish a danger warning system for these lakes.

The Commissioners of Public Works are co-operating with Bord Fáilte in the implementation of a programme for the provision of additional navigational marks on the Shannon and the Shannon lakes. By a danger warning system I take it that the Deputy means a warning of adverse weather. The feasibility of having weather forecasts for the Shannon basin broadcast will be investigated.

Question No. 57.

I have answered it.

Perhaps the Ceann Comhairle will pay attention.

Will the Ceann Comhairle now accept that I could not have heard the reply to Question No. 56?

The Deputy will resume his seat. The Parliamentary Secretary will please repeat the reply to Question No. 57.

The remaining Questions for oral answer will appear on tomorrow's Order Paper.
