Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - US Airlines' Flights into Dublin.

asked the Minister for External Affairs what consultations have taken place with American authorities on the question of landing rights in Dublin Airport for United States air companies; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

asked the Minister for External Affairs whether there have been any recent developments arising from the application by the American airlines for permission to fly into Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

12.

asked the Minister for External Affairs whether any talks have taken place since last June with the United States Government with regard to permitting American airlines to land at Dublin Airport; and if not, when it is expected that such talks will take place.

I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 10, 11 and 12 together.

There have been no formal consultations with the United States authorities on this subject since the end of 1961. At the request of the United States Government, formal talks between the two Governments under the Air Transport Agreement are to commence in Dublin on the 1st November, 1965.
