Vol. 218 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housing of Limerick Gardaí.

168.

asked the Minister for Justice what proposals he has under consideration at present for the erection of houses for members of the Garda Síochána in Limerick; and at what date he expects such houses to be completed.

The Commissioners of Public Works are providing Garda houses at eight centres in County Limerick as follows: Abbeyfeale 2 houses, Bruree 1 house, Castleconnell 1 house, Rathkeale 2 houses, Croom 2 houses, Foynes 1 house, Kilmallock 2 houses and Newcastlewest 4 houses.

At the first four centres it is hoped to place a contract for the erection of the houses in the financial year 1966-67. At the other four centres sites are being sought.

In addition, the National Building Agency has acquired a site for a house at Pallasgreen. It is hoped to complete this house by June, 1966.
