Vol. 218 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Representation at UN Office.

1.

asked the Minister for External Affairs if this country is represented at the Geneva Office of the United Nations; and, if so, the nature of the representation.

Ireland is represented at the European Office of the United Nations in Geneva by a resident officer of the rank of Minister Plenipotentiary with the title of Permanent Representative of Ireland to the European Office of the United Nations.

Is this officer also accredited to GATT?

We are not members of GATT but he represents our interests in discussions with them.
