The quantity of oats to be imported is controlled by licence on the basis of requirements which depend upon supplies of home grown oats. The quantity is relatively small and it is not considered necessary to assign functions of importation and distribution to An Bord Gráin.
The Minister was about to give me an approximate date when that decision would be made.
