Vol. 218 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Imported Lamp Standards.

10.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that a local authority (details supplied) has purchased and erected concrete lamp standards manufactured in Britain although similar standards manufactured in Ireland are available; if he will state the steps which will be taken to ensure that Irish goods are purchased by local authorities in preference to goods of foreign manufacture; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am having inquiries made in connection with this matter and if the Deputy will be good enough to repeat the question in a fortnight, I hope to be in a position to reply.
