Vol. 219 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Termon (Donegal) Water Scheme.

18.

asked the Minister for Local Government the cause of the delay in providing a group water scheme for a number of householders at Termon, County Donegal from the nearby Lough Salt water mains.

The delay in proceeding with this scheme is due largely to the difficulty experienced by the group in determining the precise number of participants. The original number was 12, and this was increased to 21 when State grants were allocated in September, 1964. I understand that the present position is that cash contributions have been collected from 15 persons, only, and that efforts are now being made by the group to increase the number of participants to a total of 26 persons. I am informed that the group are seeking quotations for materials, etc., and that it is hoped to commence work early in the new year.
