Vol. 219 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Telephone Applications.

50.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs how many people are waiting for telephones in the constituency of Dublin SouthWest; what work is in progress or proposed to supply these telephones; and how long it will be before they all receive their telephones.

The number is approximately 190, including 50 for whom connection arrangements are at present in hands. Provision of service for the remainder must await completion of cabling schemes in the area, but it is hoped to have a major clearance before the end of this financial year.
