Vol. 219 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Posting of Parcels.

131.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware that, because of the small sizes of many Dublin suburban post offices, many business firms are unable to post parcels at their local post offices and are obliged to transport parcels to central major offices for posting; and if he will have arrangements made to facilitate such firms in posting their parcels at local suburban offices.

The answer to the first part of the question is "no". Subject to certain conditions my Department will arrange for the collection of parcels from business firms without extra cost to the senders. Detailed information may be obtained by firms interested from the Controller, Dublin Postal District, College Green, Dublin 2.
