Vol. 219 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Trade Dispute Legislation.

95.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will accede to the request of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions to introduce the necessary legislation to deal with the circumstances arising from the trade dispute with the Educational Company of Ireland.

As the Deputy may be aware. I have been reviewing industrial relations generally and in the course of this review I considered the matter referred to by the Deputy. I decided that it is more important, at this stage, to proceed with proposals for amending the law on industrial relations and I hope to introduce the necessary legislation soon.
