asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the total cash sum represented by applications with An Foras Tionscal and the Industrial Development Authority for adaptation grants as yet unpaid.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the total cash sum represented by applications with An Foras Tionscal and the Industrial Development Authority for grants for new industry as yet unpaid.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 108 and 109 together. The total cash sums represented by applications with an Foras Tionscal and awaiting decision at 30th September, 1965 was (a) for new industry £3,700,000; (b) For adaptation £1,700,000.

The Industrial Development Authority are not empowered to make industrial grants.
