Vol. 220 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Drainage Scheme.

11.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will include in the work in connection with the Abbey drainage scheme in County Donegal, a drain south of Casheland chapel, as this drain will only require a few culverts and not bridges.

The inclusion of this drain in the scheme has been sympathetically considered but the cost of the necessary works would be out of proportion to the benefit to be derived. It is not a matter of distinction between bridges and culverts; the work in the channel requires expensive excavation in rock.
