Vol. 220 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Imports of Onions.

33.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he is aware that a considerable amount of Irish onions is as yet unsold; and if he will defer as long as possible the date of the removal of the ban on the import of onions.

I am aware that stocks of home-grown onions are still available and I will have due regard to the position in this respect before deciding to permit a resumption of imports.
