Vol. 220 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork Handicapped Children.

36.

asked the Minister for Health if he is aware of the inadequacy of the existing accommodation for the treatment of physically handicapped children in Cork; and if he will state the present position with regard to the erection of a new clinic for this purpose for which a site has been purchased at Ballintemple, Cork.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply of 25th January last to Deputy Barrett.

The position is that the Cork Branch of the National Association for Cerebral Palsy Limited have purchased a site on which they propose to erect a combined clinic and school. The Association's application for a grant towards the cost of the clinic is being considered as sympathetically as possible in the light of the present financial situation, and I hope to give a decision in the near future.
