Vol. 221 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Turnover Tax on Drugs.

18.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Finance if he will give an estimate of the cost to the Exchequer of extending to drugs for human use the turnover tax exemption at present applicable to drugs for animal use.

The turnover tax regulations do not require traders to show separate figures for each commodity or group of commodities sold. I regret therefore that I am unable to supply the information requested by the Deputy.
