Vol. 221 No. 1

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 2, 7, 8, 9, 5, 10, 11, 6—No. 6 to be taken with No. 11. Private Members' Business will be taken from 6 p.m. to 7.30 p.m., when Motion No. 18 will be resumed. It is proposed to interrupt business at 7.30 to takes Nos. 5 and 10 and when completed to resume the order.

On the order of business, can the Taoiseach say, in view of the early date of the Budget, whether the normal economic statistics and other data will be published in advance of the Budget?

Yes; there will be the usual statistics.

Economic Statistics may not be available, but alternative information on the same lines will be available.

When the Minister says "alternative"——

It will be in alternative form.

Up to a current date?

Does this correspond to the alteration in the return of employed, that at a certain stage you simply wave your hand and eliminate the unemployed by not including them?

If the Deputy tries hard, he may understand these things.

The Deputy's statement is as irrelevant as it is inaccurate.

Not at all; I think it is very relevant to the public debt to which at present you are unsuccessfully trying to add.
