Vol. 221 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Control of Dogs.

30.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if in the framing of future legislation for the control of dogs he will give special consideration to the position of owners of harrier or beagle dogs which could not compete wearing collars.

It is my intention to exempt packs of hounds and any dogs while being used for sporting purposes or for the capture or destruction of vermin.
