Vol. 221 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Stormont Representatives at 1916 Celebrations.

2.

Mr. O'Leary

asked the Taoiseach whether any invitations have been issued to the Stormont Government to send representatives to the 1916 Jubilee celebrations in view of the closer relations envisaged in the Anglo-Irish Free Trade Agreement.

While I wish to adhere to the general practice of not giving advance information, in reply to Dáil Questions, regarding persons to be invited to State functions, the Deputy may assume that invitations will be issued to members of the Northern Ireland Parliament who wish to attend the State Reception to be held during the celebrations.

Then they are all asked if they will be prepared to come?

They are all invited.
