Vol. 221 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Potez Factory.

70.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the present position of the Potez Dublin factory; and when it is likely to go into production.

71.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if in view of recent reports regarding Potez he will make a statement on the future of Potez Aerospace, Baldonnel, County Dublin.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 70 and 71 together.

I stated in the House on 9th February, 1966 that I was awaiting a report from the Industrial Development Authority which would permit of a fuller picture being given of the Potez project. This report has just come to hand and is being considered. I will let the House know the position as soon as possible.

In what way will the Minister make the report available? Does he want another question?

They are coming up fairly regularly. I think I can rely on them. I am not quite sure yet in what form it would be better presented but I will bring it before the House.

A chamber of commerce meeting or an appropriate dinner.
