Vol. 221 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork Nurses' Home.

81.

asked the Minister for Health the present position regarding the proposed building of the new nurses' home attached to the North Charitable Informary, Cork.

Mr. O'Malley

As the Deputy is aware, I agreed in July last to increase the grant allocation for the new nurses' home project at the North Charitable Infirmary and subsequently I agreed also to certain proposals made by the hospital authority regarding the provision of a new boilerhouse to serve the home. Since then, planning of the home has been proceeding and the hospital authority were recently requested to furnish to my Department working drawings and specification for examination, together with positional drawings for the mechanical and electrical services.

They have not done that?

Mr. O'Malley

No, not yet.
