Vol. 221 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Bridge.

12.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that an accommodation bridge on the River Finn at Cronadun and Glassaghbeg, Cloghan, County Donegal was washed away in the recent floods; and, if so, if he will make available an immediate grant for its reconstruction.

I assume the Deputy is referring to a footbridge in the townland of Glassaghbeg, crossing the River Finn between the lands of Charles McGlynn, Meenagolan and Edward Kelly, Glasshagh, near Glasshagh railway halt. This bridge was damaged by floods some months ago and to safeguard it a grant was sanctioned in November, 1965. I understand the work has been carried out. If this is not the bridge the Deputy has in mind, I will look into the matter again if he will let me have further particulars.
