asked the Minister for Local Government whether there are any proposals before his Department from Galway Corporation regarding the provision of pedestrian crossings in the city of Galway; and, if so, if he will state the number of such crossings it is proposed to provide and their location.

There are no proposals before my Department for the provision of pedestrian crossings in Galway. However, I understand that it is intended to provide pedestrian-operated lights at three locations in the city.
