asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in respect of each of the years 1956 to 1965 (a) the amount of the bank overdraft of Grain Importers, Limited, and (b) the amount of interest paid on such overdraft.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Overdraft of Grain Importers, Limited.
As the reply contains two tabular statements, I propose, with your permission a Leas-Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.
Following is the reply:
Grain Importers (Eire) Ltd. was wound up on 17 November, 1960. The only information available to me at this stage is, therefore, that contained in the Company's annual accounts. These were laid before the Houses of the Oireachtas. For 1956 the figure for bank overdraft includes bills payable. The figures for interest paid for all years include, as well as overdraft interest, discount on bills and interest on money raised from sources other than banks and bills.
