The councils have been informed that they may proceed on the assumption that allocations for 1967-68 in respect of house-purchase loans will be of the same general order as for 1966-67. No decision has been made in regard to the estimated capital allocation to each housing authority in respect of the provision of local authority houses in 1967-68.
