Vol. 222 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Motor Taxation.

10.

asked the Minister for Local Government the proportions of motor car owners who tax their cars for (a) a full year and (b) less than a full year.

An examination of the various types of licences issued by licensing authorities in 1964 and 1965 indicates that it is reasonably to conclude that in those years approximately 60 per cent of motor car owners taxed their cars annually.
