Vol. 222 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Roscommon Lands.

17.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware of the extreme dissatisfaction among needy tenants of the area owing to the delay by the Land Commission in having lands of the Kilroe Estate, Athleague, County Roscommon divided and allocated; and when division and allocation will take place.

The Land Commission are anxious to have the Estate in question divided as quickly as possible. In fact a scheme has been formulated for this and the adjoining Fallon Estate, aggregating 213 acres, and allotment will take place as soon as the Land Commission secure clear possession of the lands from a person to whom a short-term grazing letting was made.
