Vol. 222 No. 10

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Demolition of Dublin Houses.

24.

(Dublin) asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state now that demolition has begun in Keogh Square, Dublin if it is the intention of the corporation to demolish all the buildings and erect new flats.

The position is substantially the same as indicated in my reply to the Deputy's question of the 11th November last.

I understand that, while one of the flat blocks in Keogh Square was demolished some time ago, and portion of another block more recently, the corporation do not intend to proceed in the near future with the demolition of the remaining flat blocks and the erection of new flats on the site.
