Vol. 222 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bandon Vegetable Factory.

30.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce what is the present position in regard to the vegetable factory proposed to be set up by Erin Foods in Bandon, County Cork; and what use is being made of all the money which was collected locally for this project

As indicated in my reply on 7th July, 1965, to a similar question on this subject, I understand that it is only when the processing plant in County Kerry is in production that consideration can be given by Erin Foods Ltd., to the erection of similar units in other areas.

I also understand that the organising committee of the Bandon project decided some time ago to return the money to the subscribers and that this, in fact, is being done.

That is the finish of the Bandon project.
