Vol. 222 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clondalkin (Dublin) Vocational Schools.

40.

asked the Minister for Education if he has completed his consideration of post-primary educational needs; and if he is now in a position to allow the County Dublin Vocational Education Committee to proceed with the building of a vocational school in Clondalkin.

I have not yet fully completed my consideration of post-primary educational needs. I expect, however, to be able to let the committee concerned have a decision very shortly.

The Minister will recall he told me that some months ago— that he would be able to give a decision shortly. Can he say how short that time will be?

I cannot say exactly how short it will be, but it will not be very long.

Can he say if it will involve a change in plans?

I cannot say that at the moment.

So that we cannot make any progress so far as Clondalkin is concerned?

No, not at the moment.
