Vol. 222 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Housing.

5.

asked the Minister for Local Government the present position regarding the approval by his Department of purchase of a site by Kerry County Council for the erection of eight houses at Ardfert; and if approval has yet been given for this purchase.

Kerry County Council were informed last November that the site which they proposed to acquire for housing purposes at Commons, Ardfert was unsuitable, both from a planning viewpoint and because it would require an extension of the existing sewerage scheme. I understand that the council are seeking an alternative site.

6.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he has received the design and layout for 50 houses at Castleisland, County Kerry; and when he expects to approve these documents.

Outline documents for this scheme were received in my Department on 18th March, 1966. These documents have been examined and have been found to be in order subject to minor amendments. The housing authority is being so informed.

7.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he has received the design and layout for six cottages at Dingle, County Kerry; and when he expects to give final approval to these documents.

These documents were received on April 25th and will be approved shortly, subject to the incorporation of minor adjustments.
