Vol. 223 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Employment Allowances.

36.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether, in view of the fact that agricultural workers recently received a wage increase, he will take steps to increase to £52 per year the employment allowance to farmers to enable them to increase employment on the land, or at least to keep employment at the present level.

It is not proposed to alter the existing system for the relief of rates on agricultural land in the present financial year.
